Hearing supplements are often sold in 1-, 3- and 6-bottle packages, and the price per bottle drops as the package gets bigger. This free calculator turns any package into a cost per day, per month and per year, and shows how much of the supply you would use up inside the seller's money-back window. Type in the prices you see when you shop. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.

1. How you take it

Filled in for the ZenCortex label (60 servings of 1 mL, one serving twice a day) and its 60-day guarantee. Change them for any other product.

2. The packages you are comparing

Package B

Package C

Enter the total price of at least one package to see the results.

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Check the label. Enter the servings per bottle and how many servings a day the label suggests. For ZenCortex that is 60 servings and two a day, which is already filled in.
  2. Enter the refund window. Use the number of days in the seller's money-back guarantee. Read the refund policy itself, because the rules for opened and unopened bottles differ between sellers.
  3. Type in each package. Use the total price at checkout and any shipping charge. Leave a package's price empty to skip it.
  4. Read the table. The cheapest cost per day is highlighted. The last column shows how many days of supply are left after the refund window ends.

The Formula and Assumptions

  • Total cost = package price + shipping
  • Days of supply = bottles × servings per bottle ÷ servings per day
  • Cost per day = total cost ÷ days of supply
  • Cost per month = cost per day × 30, and cost per year = cost per day × 365
  • Bottles opened inside the window = refund days × servings per day ÷ servings per bottle, rounded up and capped at the number of bottles
  • Yearly savings = (highest cost per day − this package's cost per day) × 365

The calculator assumes you take the same amount every day and do not skip days. It does not include sales tax, card fees or the cost of returning bottles, so add those to the price or shipping box if they apply to you.

Worked Examples

These examples use made-up round prices only to show the math. They are not current prices for any product. Each uses 60 servings per bottle, two servings a day and a 60-day refund window, so one bottle lasts 30 days.

Example packageDays of supplyCost per dayCost per yearDays left after 60-day window
1 bottle, $60 + $10 shipping30$2.33$851.670
3 bottles, $150, free shipping90$1.67$608.3330
6 bottles, $270, free shipping180$1.50$547.50120

In this example the 6-bottle package saves about $304 a year compared with buying one bottle at a time ($851.67 − $547.50). But you pay $270 up front, and by the end of the 60-day window you would have opened only 2 of the 6 bottles. If the product does not suit you, the refund policy decides how much of that money you get back, so read it before you choose.

What the Numbers Do Not Tell You

A low cost per day only matters if the product is right for you. Dietary supplements are not approved by the FDA the way medicines are: the FDA explains that companies are responsible for the safety and labels of their products, and the agency can act after a product is on the market. Check the ingredients with your doctor first, especially if you take medicine. Our ZenCortex side effects guide and ingredients list can help you prepare.

Also, a supplement is not a substitute for a hearing check. The NIDCD suggests that anyone worried about their hearing talk to a hearing health care provider, such as their primary care doctor, an ENT doctor or an audiologist.

If you pay by credit card and are charged for something you did not order or that was not delivered, the FTC explains how to dispute a charge, including writing to the card issuer within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent. Frequently Asked Questions

Does this calculator use real ZenCortex prices?

No. Prices change, so the calculator starts empty and you type in the prices you see on the order page at the time you shop. The examples on this page use made-up round numbers only to show the math.

Is a bigger bundle always the better deal?

It is usually cheaper per day, but you pay more up front and you may still have unopened bottles when the money-back window ends. If you are not sure the product suits you, a smaller first order limits what you risk.

How many days does one bottle of ZenCortex last?

The label lists 60 servings of 1 mL per bottle and a suggested use of one serving twice a day, so one bottle lasts about 30 days at that amount.

Why does the calculator use a 30-day month?

Supplement bottles are usually sized in 30-day supplies, so a 30-day month makes the monthly figure easy to compare with one bottle. The yearly figure uses 365 days.

Can I use it for other hearing supplements?

Yes. Change the servings per bottle, servings per day and refund window to match the label and refund policy of any supplement, capsule or liquid.

Is any of my information sent anywhere?

No. The math runs inside your own browser. Nothing you type is saved or sent to us or anyone else.
